Kate is a writer of romantic comedies and contemporary romance. She lives on the east coast with her husband, sons, and her somewhat excessive collection of romance novels. (It's not hoarding if it's books, right?) She was a preschool teacher for almost seven years and is now focusing full-time on combining her two great passions — writing swoon-worthy love stories and making people laugh.

What inspired you to start writing?
I think I just read such an intense amount of romance that I wondered if I could become an author by some kind of literary osmosis. I also knew I wanted to write a romance that made my readers laugh (in a good way) and quickly realized that rom-com's were exactly that. Then, it was off to the races!
What are you working on next?
Another contemporary rom-com set in one of my favorite cities in the world!
